Tatsuru Hatayama (b.2001, Japan) is a Kanagawa-based artist who makes drawing, video, and performance. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree of oil painting at Tama Art University in 2024, and is now pursuing a master’s degree of Global Art Practice in Tokyo University of the Arts.
His works, ” When a gunshot rang out faraway in the moment, we can hear a bird chirping” received a “special award” at The 27th Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art, Kanagawa, Japan. His graduation work, “The garden full of light” was selected “excellent work” at the graduation exhibition in Tama Art University.
