Colbie Fung Ho-pui received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022. Using moving images, sound, and text as her mediums of inscription, Colbie’s works explore the capacity media tools play for memory storage in their destruction and construction of different materials. Being open to the methods of media archaeology, she often seeks the new in the old in media arts. Her recent works were showcased in Art Central, IFVA Media Art Festival, Lumenvisum, and WURE AREA. Colbie Fung Ho-pui is supported by soundpocket’s Artist Support Programme 2023–24.
