Yuen Nga Chi was born and lives in Hong Kong. She draws inspiration from the contradiction between living conditions and working experience. In recent years, she has mainly explored the theme of captive animals, and the relationship and similarity between these states and humans from historical, geographical, and political perspectives. Besides, She started to study ocean and country histories.

She obtained a Higher Diploma in Fine Arts from the Hong Kong Art School in 2016 and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2019. Her works have been exhibited or screened in Singapore, Australia, Taiwan and Indonesia, etc.
